Freecads allows designers, architects, 3D modelers and CAD professionals to earn money by uploading the files they have already created in their everyday work. The system is built to be simple, fair and transparent, with a strong focus on rewarding high quality content and active contributors.

1. Upload your CAD files

Once you create a free contributor account, you can start uploading:

• DWG files
• DXF
• PDFs
• BIM formats
• 3D models
• Vectors
• CAD drawings
• And many more supported formats

Every file goes through an internal review to ensure it meets quality and compliance standards. Once approved, the file becomes available for download on Freecads.

2. Your files generate revenue

Every time users download or engage with your files, Freecads earns revenue from:

• on site rewarded ads
• general advertising
• premium subscriptions

This revenue is later shared with contributors based on total performance.

3. The earning model is simple

Standard split

You receive 80 percent of all earnings attributed to your files.
Freecads keeps 20 percent to operate the platform and cover hosting, processing and development costs.

Top contributor split

If you finish within the Top 10 contributors in a given month, you automatically receive a 90 percent split for all earnings during the following month.

4. How earnings are calculated

Earnings are based on:

• downloads
• impressions

• anti fraud filtering

All measurements are performed using the internal Freecads analytics system.
Invalid activity is filtered out (bot downloads, self downloading, artificial traffic, manipulation of impressions and similar behaviour).

Payout timing

Payments are made on Net 40, meaning contributors are paid approximately 40 days after the end of each month.

Minimum threshold

The minimum payout is €10. If your balance is lower, it rolls over to the next month.

Payouts are made via PayPal, in EUR.

You are responsible for taxes in your country.

7. Your rights and ownership

You remain the full owner of everything you upload.

By uploading, you simply grant Freecads the rights needed to:

Users receive a licence to use your files in their own design work, but they cannot resell or redistribute them.

8. Quality and compliance

Uploads must follow the standards:

• clean files
• no bloated layers
• no unnecessary geometry
• no copyrighted content you do not own
• no AI scraping or stolen content
• no watermarks
• no harmful code or embedded scripts

Low quality or non compliant files may be rejected or removed.

9. Fraud prevention

To protect creators, Freecads automatically filters:

• bot based traffic
• VPN masked traffic
• repeated artificial downloads
• incentivised traffic
• patterns of manipulation
• suspicious referral behaviour

Revenue from invalid activity does not count toward earnings.

Repeated abuse may lead to account suspension.

11. Leaving the programme

You may delete your contributor account at any time.
Outstanding approved earnings above the threshold will be paid on the next cycle.

Files may be removed from the platform after account deletion.
